A proud tradition of academic excellence in Mallow
Remarkable success has been achieved yet again by the Patrician Academy as indicated in the Sunday Times Report of the top 400 secondary schools in Ireland. The Patrician Academy has always featured prominently in this report and this year was no different. It was ranked 105th in fee paying and non fee paying schools while it was ranked 30th in the top boys schools in Ireland and 13th in the top boys’ non-fee paying schools in Ireland. It ranked no. 5 in the Boys’ non-fee paying schools in Cork. The Patrician Academy has always enjoyed a proud tradition of academic excellence in Mallow.
Furthermore, an outstanding 90.8% of Leaving Certificate graduates in 2010 accessed first year undergraduate places in Third Level Colleges in Ireland and the UK and 12% of the graduates of the Academy in 2010 attained over 500 points in their Leaving Certificate. In addition the majority of these Leaving Certificate students achieved their first preference in college. An incredible accomplishment by pupils and teachers of the Academy!
